World Asthma Day 2026

World Asthma Day 2026

This year’s theme highlights an urgent global issue: ‘Access to anti-inflammatory inhalers for everyone with asthma’.

Asthma affects over 260 million people worldwide, and tragically, hundreds of thousands of deaths occur each year – many of which are preventable with the right treatment and support.

Anti-inflammatory inhalers don’t just relieve symptoms; they treat the underlying inflammation in the airways. This means better day-to-day control, fewer asthma attacks, and a reduced risk of serious complications.

However, access to these essential medicines is still a challenge for many people across the world. That’s why raising awareness and supporting people to manage their asthma effectively is so important.

We are committed to supporting you with your asthma care. We’re proud to have our PCN Clinical Pharmacist, Sophia, who is our dedicated Asthma Champion. 💙

If you have any questions or concerns about your asthma, you are very welcome to:

✔ Contact us for a referral to Sophia to discuss your Asthma management.
✔ Speak with Sophia for any Asthma queries, advice or support.

Of course, our nursing team are also highly experienced and always there to help you manage your condition with confidence.

If you’ve noticed changes in your symptoms, are using your inhaler more frequently, or simply want a review, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Together, we can help you stay well and breathe easier.
